Welcome back to the Dirt Show. I just finished watching the United States soccer team.

0:08.0

They call it football there. Beat the Iranian team one to nothing. For most Americans,

0:16.1

you know, soccer is just another sport. It's something like basketball, something like

0:20.5

baseball, something like football. Fewer people like soccer, increasingly young kids are playing.

0:26.8

Soccer, it's developing into a major sport, but certainly not Italy with football, basketball,

0:35.6

and baseball. But around the rest of the world, soccer is life or death. It's a blood sport.

1:59.7

game for America. I put them in the next round, and it knocked Iran out of the tournament. They

2:06.2

have to go home, and I don't envy them because in Iran, everything is religious and political,

2:15.8

and matters of life and death. According to CNN, the revolutionary guard came into the locker room

2:26.4

of the Iran players, some of whom had not sung the national anthem in protest of how Iran is

2:34.6

treating women and protesters. And apparently, according to CNN, they have documentation of it.

2:42.1

The revolutionary guard threatened the players' families and saying they would be tortured and killed.

2:49.2

I don't haven't heard that they threatened the players themselves if they didn't win,
