let's go back to the United States. So I read this morning's Times in the

headline was Oath Keeper's leader convicted of sedition in landmark January 6k.

So you know as a constitutional scholar and a historian of the early days of the

American experience, when you hear the word sedition, sedition. The first thing

you think about is the notorious alien and sedition acts. You know those were

the acts enacted during the Adams administration which punished people

through them in jail for exercising their free speech. It was enacted

less than 10 years after the First Amendment was enacted. It was supported by

George Washington, Alexander Hamilton and John Adams. It was opposed by Thomas

Jefferson. It was opposed by Madison and when Jefferson became president it
