Good morning. Three minutes after ten is the time. Quite a lot to get through today, but I'm always open to your suggestions. It's a strange

little period during our years together, isn't it, with one story. I mean, I appreciate we may have

lent in quite hard on Brexit coverage over the last few years, or post-referendum Brexit

coverage, but very rarely did we do little else for weeks on end, except focus upon the same scenario. It's a little like being

at war, I imagine, in the sense that everything else sort of pales into insignificance. And,

you know, some of the tragedies that would normally register and resonate with us on a rather

grander scale than they do, almost get subsumed, I think, in the noise, in the continuing noise.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, because so many people are poised

or programmed to pour poison into your ears on days like today,

if you close legal routes for asylum, you enhance the likelihood of people

trying illegal routes. So the more weight you put upon calls to, quote, control our borders,

or to conflate asylum seekers with people that would risk their lives in order to get their

hands on universal credit.

I don't even know what the latest lies are from these ghouls.

Then you bear some responsibility for what happens when people can't take legal routes to asylum.

Not all the responsibility, of course.

I mean, compared to the politicians

and the people in my profession that cheerlead for this ghoulish callousness, you bear next to no

responsibility at all. But just be aware next time they start trying to scare you, terrorise you,

pour poison into your ears. That two things happen. Number one, the narrative that it's very, very easy

to get here kills people. So ask yourself, who's worked hardest in 2020 to get the idea
