0:10.0	Today we're going to be answering the question, what is provisionism?
0:14.0	I know, I know there are all kinds of labels and all the different isms and a lot of people don't like the labels and why can't we just be biblicalists why can't we all just be Christians why do we have to have labels I don't like them
0:25.9	either I'll just be honest with you I don't like all the labels I wish we didn't have any of the
0:29.8	isms but the truth of the matter is because we have free will because we have the ability to deliberate
0:35.2	and make our own decisions individually and autonomously,
0:38.3	we have differences of opinion with regard to different doctrines within the Christian church.
0:43.8	We have different denominations because of this. It's either because of libertarian free will
0:49.2	that we have all these differences or God is decreed for his own children to disagree with each other
0:54.0	over theological,
0:56.0	sometimes very important theological matters. And I don't think that that's tenable. I don't
1:00.0	think that's a rational way to look at the way God works, that he would somehow decree, i.e.,
1:05.0	originate, decide, plan for us to all be in disagreement with each other. Instead, I believe that God gives us
1:11.4	the ability to reason, make decisions, that we are fallible, therefore we make wrong decisions
1:16.6	sometimes. We misinterpret passages. We come up with wrong conclusions about what first century
1:23.0	Jew might have been saying in his context versus how we would take it in our westernized context today.
1:28.8	And so we make mistakes. That's the reason I think we have the different isms, the different
1:33.5	denominations, the different labels. I don't like them any more than you do, okay, but that doesn't
1:38.4	change the fact that they exist. And all of them are man-made labels, whether you're talking about
1:43.1	Augustinianism or Pelagianism or Manichianism or Calvinism or Minianism.
1:51.4	You've got Armaraldianism.
1:53.4	You've got the different controversies of Lapsarian, superlapsarian, infallapsarian these, these are all man-made labels. And sometimes I get
