And two people come into marriage from different families.

Absolutely.

And so you're assuming, you assume that the family you grew up in is normal.

And then you get married and you realize, well, all families are abnormal just in different ways.

And now we've got to decide what is our family?

That's right.

What does our marriage look like?

We're not part of our family.

We're a new family as a married couple and we get to
