Summary

New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 139 As many people are now aware, children are being separated from their parents, both by the state and beyond the state's reach, as a result of indoctrination in gender ideology. In many "gender sanctuary" states, child protective services can even step in and "protect" children from their own parents and good parenting on these grounds, and the circumstances of these separations (sometimes de facto terminations of parental custody without due process) are sometimes developed and encouraged by third parties in schools, counseling offices, clinics, and online spaces. This situation has enough of a feel of "trafficking" of children to it that the word is naturally attaching to these situations even though it is legally incorrect. So, what is going on with "gender trafficking," and can it be developed into a genuine legal definition that gives parents legal options and paths to action? In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay explains and explores these ideas in a new way. If the issue of gender ideology and protecting children from it are important to you, this is a must-listen. Latest from New Discourses Press! Hey everybody. It's James Lindsay. You're listening to New Discourse's Bullets, where I talk about a single topic from woke that we need to understand or talk about so that we can defeat it.

0:20.1

And today I want to talk about something that's within the gender ideology realm,

0:24.3

which is this thing that's kind of increasingly common,

0:27.7

especially in our so-called blue states here in the United States.

0:31.9

They call them things like gender sanctuary laws.

0:36.4

This idea that the state is going to be able to step in and take a

0:40.2

gender non-conforming or trans youth who doesn't feel affirmed at home and remove them from

0:44.8

their parents' home and place them into some kind of transitional care, whether that's run by

0:50.0

the state, whether it's a foster home or whatever, and the possibility that actually people can

0:54.7

intentionally lead children into deciding that they are of these divergent identities and then

1:02.4

help them initiate this process intentionally and willingly and then sometimes have the

1:07.6

conflict of interest of being connected to these homes.

1:10.3

Now, this feels, the reason I want to talk about this is because this very much feels like,

1:14.2

and people discuss this under the term trafficking, and that's a fraught idea,

1:21.1

because the term trafficking, especially when it comes to child trafficking,

1:26.0

already means something very specific in law.

1:30.0

And so while this feels like a trafficking situation that you have adults arranging circumstances such that a child

1:37.9

departs from their parents and you have a de facto termination of parental rights without due process and that the child is then

1:46.8

moved into a situation under other adults control and care, maybe for the purposes of the ideology

1:53.9

or other purposes that feels very much like a trafficking situation, but it's not legally trafficking

2:00.0

as it's normally recognized.

2:01.6

So we have a situation where something that looks and feels like trafficking exists
