1:04.0	That prompted one audience member of pastor to reach out to us and ask the question of,
1:08.3	how do you determine where the dividing line is between
1:12.1	Christian liberty and biblical mandates or what we might call biblical standards? How do we
1:18.2	negotiate that line between those two and determine where something falls? Well, when we talk about
1:24.3	Christian liberty, let me first of all give you a reference. I have a book called Pract Holiness, and it has a chapter on legalism, which is something we should avoid, salvation by works or living by rules and regulations.
1:35.2	And it has a chapter on Christian liberty.
1:37.0	What is our liberty in Christ?
1:40.0	And also, the book of Romans deals with the subject at length.
1:43.1	So I have a book, a verse by verse commentary called The Message of Romans.
1:47.1	So it will deal with Christian liberty specifically in detail from Romans, especially Romans 14, which I'll refer to.
1:55.8	So our life in Christ is characterized first and foremost by freedom, liberty. And what do we mean?
2:05.2	Freedom from sin. We're no longer bound by sin. We're no longer forced to sin. We can actually
