Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013. I'm walking right now, and I would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes. It is another

beautiful morning in South Carolina. Clear skies, temperature normal so it's crisp, probably the

biggest difference today. A little bit of a breeze, a little bit of a wind, a couple of times as I was walking over to the

Wooded Trail, where I am right now, recording the podcast and walking.

I was heading into the wind, and it was more than brisk.

It was like, ooh, this feels a little chilly.

I don't know if you can hear that banging.

I think that's a, I'm pretty certain that's a trash truck

picking up one of those large metal trash containers on the other side of the woods over there.

So lately I've been seeing this term power walk.

Have you ever seen it?

Someone, either that you know,

you know, online or in person, says, yeah, yeah, I go from my power walk today.

Or I love, love taking power walks.

And, you know, I've heard the term before and have always, have always just assumed that it was

someone's way of saying,

I don't just walk.

I power walk.

Like, well, okay, you do that.

But come to find out, a true power walk actually has a definition. There are three components

that make a power walk a power walk. Number one is speed, which shouldn't be a surprise,
