Life is a journey, and God has provided songs to help us along the way.

When we sing about the Lord's goodness, generally we sing about the blessings, the good things that God has brought into our lives, and rightly we should.

But has it ever dawned on you how many bad things the Lord has kept from you and kept you

from? David's song today, Psalm 124, one of the songs of degrees, a song for the traveler.

The entire song is centered not on the good things that have come,

but all the evil things that God has prevented. I want you to listen to it. Psalm 124 verse 1 says,

then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us, then the waters had
