Summary

Today I’m joined by Amber Smith, wife of Granger Smith. Amber shares their story of navigating the unspeakable tragedy of losing her 3-year-old son, River, and how that "bathroom floor" moment of ultimate grief and despair became the very place God met her.

If you are walking through a storm or know someone who is, this conversation is a powerful reminder that you are not alone and your story is not over. Let’s go to the Story House!

What's the ultimate why for writing the girl on the bathroom floor? I mean, grief is, it's a long road. The third day went out outside in this garden and we just looked at each other and said, we're not going to let this tear our family apart. I get emotional talking about it because it's been a joy to see him go from that stage to this stage of sharing the goodness of God. I guarantee you right now, someone's listening to this podcast, and they're one of two categories. They're in their own bathroom floor moment, or they know somebody who needs to read your story. I'm so thankful if God uses it in some way to help one person to know that they're not alone and to know that they can do it. And God has really done a magnificent work in our hearts. I mean, Granger and I were saved through this loss.
