Hey, girlfriends, glad you're here. Happy new week. I'm recording this early on Monday morning. I am ready for the week to come. I've got my lists. We are good to go. And the reason I have lists, I don't usually have big lists at the start of each week, but I'm trying to be organized about my workload this week, personal stuff and family stuff and work stuff, just got different

columns in my lists. I need to be this organized because this coming weekend we're having our

annual October Fest, so I'm very excited about that. That's going to be a lot of fun.

Hoping we'll have good weather.

Last year, it poured on us, and it was kind of miserable.

I'm sure nobody who came would be so mean as to say that.

But it was true.

It was just misery.

It was like huge winds, freezing cold, like sideways rain. We set up tents, but that doesn't help when it's

sideways rain. So like out there and trying to make kids carve pumpkins. Anyway, it was misery.

But I love our Octoberfest. I love that we do it. This is our 22nd annual October Fest.

And that goes back a ways. We first did an October fest when

Catery was won. So that's how I always know what year it is. I just, it's the same as Catery's

age. So we just started it years ago. I don't even, you know, Dan wants to take all the credit

for starting October Fest that he had

this genius idea. But I think I might have had something to do with it. Anyway, whoever gets the

credit. It's been a fun family tradition. It started out really small. We only invited family,

but we do like a big bonfire, just kind of like a fall party. It was a lot of fun to do. In the beginning, we kind of did it. At least I did. My
