Summary

One of the main characteristics of anxiety is that when you feel it, you believe that you will always feel it, that it will always be there. You can't accept that a day would come where it wouldn't dominate, when it's become chronic for you. I had these fears and worries too, I thought I would never be okay, and that there's so much in life I'd never get to experience from travel to love to having a child to public speaking, but do you know how many of these things anxiety has held me back from? None. In this short solo episode I talk through the fears I had, the things I thought I would never be able for but, because I owned my anxiety, I was eventually able to achieve. I hope you find this episode uplifting and hopeful if you are struggling with chronic daily anxiety at the moment.

Hello, dear listener and welcome back to owning it the anxiety podcast with me, Caroline Forin. I really hope that you're enjoying this season so far. Apologies in advance if my voice is a little

bit croaky for this episode. I have been fighting a non-COVID virally thing for the last two

And I'll actually, something I was thinking about myself recently, when you take stock and you

realise how far you've come and how important it is to acknowledge that. And I was thinking about

1:14.7

one of the biggest worries and fears that really dominated my mind when I was really in the

doldrums of anxiety all those years ago when it wasn't just, you know, the backdrop to every day

1:25.8

that I lived through, but it was right in the forefront

1:27.7

with nothing else in view. It's all I could see. I woke up anxious. I went to bed, anxious.
