0:16.6	Hey, I'm a mom of four.
0:19.7	I'm a messy parent and it's okay to be a mess.
0:23.0	It is impossible not to be a messy parent and the more you try to be a perfect parent,
0:28.1	the more mess you're going to actually make and the more frustrated you will become.
0:31.8	So to sort of manage this messiness, which is kind of what we're trying to do as well
0:36.6	as parents, we need to give ourselves permission to be a mess.
0:41.2	And in fact, this is so important that this is actually the second podcast that I'm doing
0:46.1	on messy parenting.
0:48.1	We know this podcast is called Cleaning Up the Mental Mace, but I really specifically
0:52.0	want to bring it down to messy parenting because it's so hard to be a parent.
0:59.3	It's great, but it's hard.
1:00.6	And that's why I've been out this book this year as well on the 8th of August called,
1:04.5	how to help your child clean up their mental mace.
1:08.1	So as we are cleaning up our mace and helping our children clean up their mace, we make
1:12.7	a lot of messiness along the way.
1:15.5	And it's okay, we need to normalize and celebrate being messy parents.
1:20.6	And in that way, when we've got this honesty and authenticity about saying, hey listen,
1:24.6	I messed up here.
1:25.6	I don't know how to fix this all.
1:27.1	I did this, I did that.
