Hey friends, welcome back to the podcast. I am so excited for today's conversation, but before

we jump in, I just wanted to jump back into Second Corinthians and I'm going to jump to Second

Corinthians for this is one of my favorite chapters of the Bible. It's one that's I've been just

really studying and given a lot of energy toward this last couple years. It's a theme that's

bubbled up in my life and in my heart. It's brought me to tears. It's inspired me. It's very

convicting, but I want to just start here in chapter four of verse one. Therefore, since we have

this ministry because we were shown mercy, we do not give up. Instead, we renounce secret and shameful

things. We don't act deceitfully or distort the word of God, but commend ourselves before God to

everyone's conscious by an open display of truth. What he's talking about here is just living

in a way that's honest and laying down anything that's secret. I think it's just so important

as I think about the church in this season and coming out of winter and having just a long winter,

I know for me personally, it was a harder winter. The loss of my mother-in-law that I referenced

a couple episodes ago, but also just an undoing, if you will. I think that happens to a lot of us

in different seasons of life where the Lord starts to shift our hearts in such a way that the old

garment just doesn't fit anymore. I don't know how else to say. It's just the way you used to do things,

just the way you used to function and operate. It felt so natural, it felt so free, it felt so true.

All of a sudden, just don't seem to be working. It's not that they're not just working,
