And I'm Charlie Bird. Each episode we discuss a question we commonly get asked as LGBTQ plus

Saturday Saints. We're not trying to answer this question or come to consensus,

but simply share our perspectives. Today's question is, what happens when you fall in love?

Ben and I are not terribly diverse and we share many opinions on life experiences. For example,

we have both lost talent shows. However, there are some pretty big differences. For example,

I lost my high school talent show and Charlie lost America's Got Talent.

So tell me about your high school talent show.

Okay, so I'm at Everett High School and Everett Washington. And we have this thing called

Mr. EHS, like Mr. Everett High School. And I lost three years in a row.

What was your talent? One year I got a bunch of my friends together and we did like a

hat and cane dance. Like, you know, like, it was great. It was really good. And the next year,

it wasn't good enough to win. And the next year I swing dance, swung dance with a friend

and we did great. I got like second runner-up or third runner-up or something. Then the next year,

my senior year, we made my friends and I made a video. And it did not win.

Was there a swimsuit competition? There was not.

Charlie, you lost America's Got Talent. I lost America's Got Talent. I've actually never

spoken about this. Because it was so embarrassing. It was actually really embarrassing.

Were you on TV? No, it didn't make it that far. So I got called and it was

as the mascot, so as Cosmo. Can you really lose if you didn't make it to TV?

It felt like a loss to me. Let me tell you why. Okay. Four buzzers.
