On September 23rd, 1991, a young girl disappeared in a

case that saw police digging in their heels on who the guilty party was, and the repeated

denial to move the case forward with any other suspects. So if you like your coffee hot but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day

with a morning cup of murder. Leanne Sarah Holland, born October 1st, 1978, was the youngest of three

siblings born to a couple that later divorced. Living with her father in Goudna, Queensland, at the time or story takes place,

Leanne also shared the home with her sister and her sister's British-born boyfriend, Graham

Stuart Stafford.

On September 23, 1991, the first day of the school holiday, Leanne, who was alone in the home with Graham at the time,

left at around 9.30 a.m. to walk to the nearby hairdressers. When she failed to come home,

her family assumed she had gone out with friends and stayed the night. But when she still

wasn't home the next day, they went ahead and called the local police.

Now, a few years before the police got the call about Leanne Holland's disappearance,

another girl named Sherrod Phillips had disappeared in the same general area.

So did a girl named Julianne Gallen, who vanished in August of 1990.

So given this recent uptick and disappearances, police became incredibly concerned for Leanne and immediately launched investigation.

Unfortunately, just three days after walking out of her home that morning, the 12-year-old girl's mutilated body was found in
