And we were just figuring out what we were going to talk about, John.

And we were just checking in with one another. I'm depressed. I don't know.

I'm at the end of a semester. Do you get this thing out of the end of a semester

where you can't really wait for it to be over and where it seems like task

that had been just ordinary task or becoming more and more onerous and

you're kind of gasping for air and wondering if you're going to be prepared for class

and student papers are coming in and they have to be evaluated.

It's been just a long slog here in this pandemic impacted teaching season.

So there's that. But I don't know.

I need cheering up, John. What can you tell me?

Well, you know, that's hard at this point because I'm not usually feeling

utterly worn out at the end of a semester in that way.

But definitely this semester,

I have the same feeling because, you know, I guess we're,

I get the feeling there's this tacit notion that we professors aren't supposed to talk about this that much.
