Summary

Today’s word of the day is ‘zero tolerance’ as in we have zero tolerance for this situation as in an incident happened in the Colorado Rockies game that we need to discuss. In the 9th inning vs the Marlins it sounded as if a fan screamed out a racial slur at Lewis Brinson. Some fans thought someone was yelling to the Rockies mascot. We’re not going to get into what was said — we’re going to discuss how this investigation is handled by the team. (14:50) Jed Hoyer spoke about the Cubs not being able to sign Bryant, Rizzo, or Baez to new deals before trading them away. Kris Bryant has responded to this. (22:50) So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? Someone asked me about the San Diego Padres possibly moving Fernando Tatis Jr to the outfield. Would I consider doing this? (33:00) Review: The Suicide Squad. (35:40) Wait to see updates — NBA investigating tampering. (41:10) NPPOD. (43:40) Xavien Howard gets more money from the Dolphins. This is a bad precedent to set if you’re Miami. Zero tolerance. Nothing personal and word of the day for Monday, August 9, 2021 is zero tolerance.

0:58.8

I tried not to use the word zero tolerance because it makes you look bad when all the sudden

1:03.6

things happen that you have zero tolerance for and you can't do anything about it or you don't

1:08.8

do enough about it so that it happens again. You can say people say I have zero tolerance towards

1:15.5

something. That's hyperbole. I have zero tolerance for that type of behavior. Your parents would say

1:20.8

that to you, your teacher, zero tolerance. When you are doing a statement and you put zero tolerance,

1:27.1

you're doing that because that's what you're supposed to have, not what you do have. When you open

1:34.4

up a ballpark to 25,000 people or would 30,000 or 5,000, depending on the team that you're the

1:40.4

president of, it's hard to say you have zero tolerance of anything because as a consequentialist,

1:46.5

I would say if something happens, then clearly you had tolerance for it because you didn't do

1:52.4

something about it. Now you're going to tell me that's terrible, David. You can't stop things from

1:58.2

happening. You can't control what people say or what people do. I'm not so sure. We're talking about

what happened in Colorado last night. Colorado MLB is mortified right now because Colorado is where

the Marlins were losing and in the ninth inning, Lewis Princeton, an African-American player who has
