I want to talk together for the next few minutes about what God, God our Father, wants for you.

What does God want for you? Now why is this so important? Because God made you.

God knows you better than anybody knows you.

And God who made you and knows you, the things that he wants for you are the things are going to bring you the most joy.

They're the things that are going to bring you the most significance in life.

If you checked into some high-end resort and you barely scraped up enough money to get the lowest

level room and you're going to stay there and you walk up to the counter and the person

at the counter said to you, oh, oh, the owner of the resort called ahead and said you'd be coming

and there's a room that they especially want you to have. Would you stick with the room

you're in or take the room the owner said they wanted you to have?

Well, God's the owner, he made everything

and there's some things he says he wants.

God wants what's best for you.

And who wouldn't want that in our lives?

So here's the good news.

The good news is it is no secret what God wants for us. It is all through

the Bible. And we're going to look in just a few minutes at something that happened on Easter

week that I think maybe more powerfully than anywhere shows us what God wants in everyday life

for every one of our lives. This is Easter week. This is Palm Sunday

weekend. And this entire next week, we celebrate the events of Jesus' life that led up to Easter.
