I'm Scream Hey friends, welcome back to another episode of Truth Talks with Tara. I am so excited to have you guys

back on this conversation and have a new friend. I feel like I've known her for a while, though, because I've read her books

and followed her for so long. And I'm really grateful to have a conversation about identity

and inviting mothers and individuals alike into this conversation about who God says we are

and how that can cut through the noise of the world and people's opinions and being a mom of two little boys, this has really hit home especially. So we are welcoming Hosanna Wong onto the show. Hosanna, thank you so much for being here. Would you share a little bit about who you are, what you do? And then I want to hear one thing you're loving in your life. It can literally be anything. And I'm kind of hitting you with off the cuff, but. Oh, my goodness. Yes. Okay. Thank you for having me. I've been so looking forward to it. I'm born and raised in San Francisco, California. Now my husband, Guy, and I live in San Diego, California, where we serve at our local church, East Lake Church. And I write books and do spoken word poetry, and I preach

and do many different methods just to help people know who they are.

So I throw a lot of things to the wall and see what sticks.

I've tried a lot of things and fumbled through a lot of things to the glory of God,

but I just want people to

know who they really are and know God for real in their everyday lives. And so with that being the

goal, we do that in a lot of ways at our local church and our local community with our friends

and also with the global church through resources, through whatever methods are possible at that

moment of time. So that's who we are.

And we love the local church and we love the people in our lives.

Something fun that we're loving.

My husband and I, we've been going to a lot of live sports games and live at stand-up comedy shows. Oh, I love it. I love it. Yeah, that's, we've always been like, that's something that kind of bonded us when we were dating. Honestly, we both love sports. We came from sports families and we had an event diagram, which was NBA. Because we had like different sports teams, different things. But NBA was our event diagram. So praise the Lord. But I remember like five

years ago, like during lockdown 2020, we had kind of made like a mini list of like things we look

forward to doing when we get out of the house and like things we wish we would have done more and

things we're looking forward to the most. And one thing was live events. Like we love being in big gatherings of people doing things we love. Yeah. Might be why we love also. I love, I love this. And also like we want to just be more intentional and like, we want to budget for this. We want to save up to live sports games and live standups because we love comedy and we've done that so for the

past five years we've done that and so we're four years but we I guess that's something that

we're loving we've been able to do that more this year yeah I don't is that the answer

literally yes literally anything no I say this all the time that we've had favorites from like
