Amen and good morning and welcome you can be seated so glad you're here those of you online joining us we're so glad that you are

pardon before we get started though I want to mention that Tuesday is our prayer meeting 7 p.m. here in the sanctuary really encourage you to come and join with us and pray with us together as a church.

As you know, we're going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by

verse, and we've made it all the way to the final book, the last book in the Bible, the book

Revelation. And our text today is going to be

chapter 11, verses 3 through 13. Now because of the length of the text, if you would rather

prefer to sit, that's fine, but if not, I'll ask you to stand. He can follow along. Just so you know,

especially for those of you that are new, welcome the way we love having you we're glad you're

here and we're amazed that you keep coming back but this is not something we just

came up with this comes out of the book of Ezra. They would stand for the reading of God's

words. So I just want you to understand the why behind the what of standing for the reading of

God's words. So follow along as I began in verse 3 where John, inspired by the Holy Spirit,

writes, and I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for

1,260 days clothed in sackcloth. They verse four are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands,

and they stand before the Lord of the earth.

Verse five, if anyone tries to harm them,

fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies.

This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.

Is that too much?

They have power, verse 6, to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying, and they have power

to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they

want.
