I love starting these podcast episodes exactly like that. And it's very fitting because, yes, it's Wednesday today and yes, we're going to have a gratitude practice. And of course, we are talking about friendship this week. There is a lot of messaging coming our way from the media and from the world about romantic love and romantic relationships.

And we are told throughout our lives that the single most important relationship we will ever have is to a relationship with our future spouse or partner or husband or wife.

And all those things may be true.

Of course, romantic relationships are super important and a really beautiful part of life.

But I feel like friendships and those friendship relationships, those heart to heart,

sisterhood, brotherhood, all the hoods in between, all the ways that we can relate with each other

as human beings beyond that romantic side actually are what holds us all through life.
