We are having ourselves a little bit of an activist week here on the show, taking a little peek

at the beauty industry and a little peek at the beauty standards that society wants

us to adhere to and doing a little check-in around how much that is actually impacting our lives.

That journey of feeling good enough the way we are.

The journey of being able to accept ourselves and embrace ourselves and love ourselves as we are in this moment.

That journey of fighting against the patriarchy and

it's really unhealthy, unrealistic, ever-changing standards of what we are supposed to look like

as people, as women. And what I wanted to take a look at today as we dive into this topic

is the flaw. And when I say the word flaw,

that society and the media has told you you need to be working on right now. That quote unquote issue or problem that the world has gotten really good at

convincing you into believing is something about your body or about the way you look that you have

to fix. So of course, I'm using those little air quotes because there is no such thing as a problem when it comes to your body.

That issue, that problem area, that flaw.

It's all just bullshit made up so that we convince ourselves we need to spend money looking really young, looking really thin, looking really X, Y, Z, right? So what is that perceived

flaw that you have been convinced is something that you actually have to focus your precious

time and energy on right now? Do you have a part about your body, a part about how you look, a part about who you are that you feel like you have to fight against right now?
