Finding the good in the bad. It's newsish on The Wally Show.

Sadly, the death toll from the flooding in Texas continues to rise. Over 100 people are dead. 11 girls that were

swept away from that Christian summer camp are still missing and they had already lost

28 kids from that camp. That is so sad. And I even saw on TikTok last night where there was like a bus

of them that were able to get out. And they were singing Christian songs to keep each other calm.

And there's devastation all through the windows that they're passing by.

That's interesting that you say that because I want to touch on some of this too because

like when tragedies hit like this, it's devastating.

And you see the personal loss and it causes people

believer and non-believer alike to question, if God is so good, why did he allow this to happen?

And I think that's a fair question. It's one that we all have struggled with.

In fact, I've wrestled with that for years and it sidelined my faith for a while. And I think it can be even harder for believers to wrap their head around this because we believe God is active in our lives.

We believe when we pray, it matters and we believe that he is powerful enough that he could stop things.

So when he doesn't, what do you do with that? You know, and you look at the effect that something like this had on these poor families and people, and you ask, where's the goodness in that?

Well, the Bible doesn't shy away from that question.

In fact, it's filled with stories of people who cried out to God in confusion or fear or frustration.
