The democratic party loves to use the word transform but the word alone is powerless. What the United States needs right now isn't persuasive or "feel good" langue it's actual action. Sooner or later Democrats will realize that they can't bank on people hating Trump to get them elected. That's in the past. And the present issues of our nation are catching up to them.

And what we're going to talk about today is a couple of new indicators about the state

of the Democratic Party, and more especially about the state of the progressive takeover

And the first one's not completely serious, but I think it does illustrate something.

Anyway, the first one, I want to talk about the use of the word transform.

Now remember in the way back time last year, Joe Biden ran for president in what all

the commentators called the centrist lane of the Democratic primaries.

Now the idea was that Biden was a moderate, unlike his chief rival Bernie Sanders.

And Biden would not push radical plans to completely remake, to change American society.

That would reassure non-progressive Democrats they do exist.

And also independence, that Biden is a safe choice for president.

He doesn't want to remake the world, he doesn't want to go back to square one and just recreate

everything, they just want to make things better.

So you could see this difference in the Democratic campaign events, especially in the debates.

So I want to take one example from November 2019, Bernie Sanders making his closing statement

and he urges people to join him, quote, if you want to be part of a movement that is

not only going to beat Trump, but transform America.
