The second mass killing in one week this time in Boulder, Colorado once again raises the

question, what does the second amendment mean?

Does it permit private ownership of semi-automatic or automatic weapons or does it require that

guns be made available only to well-regulated militias that are necessary to the security

of our country?

We will have that debate today on the Dershow.

This is going to be a controversial show today.

A lot of my listeners and viewers are not going to agree with my views because today we're

talking about the second amendment and gun control.

Of course we are.

Consider what happened yesterday.

In Boulder, Colorado, a small college town with very little violence and very little

death in terms of murder and gun violence yesterday, once again, a shooter walked into

a crowded area this time, a store, a grocery store, and just apparently at random shot and

killed 10 people, including an extraordinarily brave police officer, first to the scene,

a man with a terrific record of helping people shot dead by a man carrying a semi-automatic

rifle, a patrol rifle, a rifle that's used largely by law enforcement officials and a rifle

used as well by some militaries.

This was not the first mass killing this week.

Obviously we all remember the mass killing in the Atlanta area where again gun was used.

We're going to have all kinds of debates about why it happened, was the killing in Atlanta

racially motivated, was it motivated by a sex addiction in terms of Boulder.
