We got so many calls and comments mostly critical of my views on the second

amendment, the right to bear arms, and what happened in Boulder, Colorado

in Atlanta, Georgia that I decided to devote the vast majority of today's

Dershow to your views to the wits I want to hear what you have to say on the

Dershow.

Today on the Dershow, we're going to do something quite unusual.

There was so much reaction to my take on the second amendment yesterday and my

views on the Boulder shootings and the Atlanta shootings, so much controversy

that I decided just to do a short update on what's going on in Boulder and

with advocacy of gun control and then move right to the comments and the

criticisms because there are many.

I want to make sure you have your say because I have expressed views that I know

are controversial among some of my listeners and viewers. I used to do this

occasionally when I toured at Harvard Law School. If I gave it an extremely

controversial class and there wasn't really a full opportunity for all the

students to get their views across, I would hold a special class in which there

were only questions and only comments from the students and those proved to be

very interesting, intellectually, psychologically and in every other way.

So I decided to do the same thing today with calls and comments on the second
