Summary

The Bible tells us to "give thanks in all circumstances" in 1 Thessalonians 5:18. But our circumstances can make it difficult to give thanks. What does the Bible say about the reality of suffering? Why does an all-knowing, all-loving, all-powerful God allow such suffering? And is there a foundational principle that helps us in hard places?

Dr. Jim Denison answers these questions as he discusses what the Bible says about suffering (also known as the problem of theodicy).
