Summary
Every day brings news of medical challenges, diseases, pandemics, and the like. Many people might think that an ancient book like the Bible would have little to say on this contemporary subject. But what does the Bible say about medicine?
How should Christians balance medicine and miracles, human help and faith? How can we help those in medical need today?
Dr. Jim Denison with the Denison Forum answers these questions as he seeks what the Bible says about medicine.

| 0:25.8 | My name is Chris Elkins, and I'm here today with Dr. Jim Denison. |
| 0:30.9 | To talk about a really big subject, it'll be hard to do in just such a short period of time. |
| 0:35.2 | But, you know, every day we hear more and more news about the medical challenges, |
| 0:38.1 | the diseases, the pandemics, everything that's going on around us in a medical kind of genre. But with an ancient book like the Bible, how well does |

| 1:16.8 | You see Jesus healing bodies. You see healing all through the Old New Testament even today. |
| 1:21.3 | So this idea that your body is somehow inherently so sinful and so fallen that |
| 1:26.3 | that God wouldn't care about it is really Greek philosophy. |
| 1:29.8 | The Greeks had this idea that your soul existed in some pre-incarned statement, sin we would say, |
| 1:35.1 | and it was punished by being put in your body. And the point of life is to purify your soul so |
| 1:39.6 | it can go back where it came from. Well, that's Greek philosophy. That's not biblical theology. God made your body. |
| 1:45.8 | God cares about your body. If your body was so inherently sinful that God wouldn't care about it, |
