God's truth. That is our goal here in the next four to five minutes.

It is great to have you here.

I am so proud that so many people who claim the name of Jesus

are taking an active role in their own

growth by listening to the morning mindset. Now of course this is not the only way

you could do that

please don't think that you can get into the scriptures on your own and I hope you are

hope the morning mindset serves as a pattern for you of how you can dig into the

scripture on your own verse by verse just learning what it is that God has its story for your life.

But today we are digging back into First Peter as we're wrapping up the book.

We've just looked at verses 8 and 9 that tell us we have an enemy who is coming against us.

He's seeking someone to devour, Peter says.

And we're going to pick up in verse number 9, where Peter says,

resist him firm in your faith

knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your

brotherhood throughout the world and there's a few things in here that are worth noting.

First of all, we are to resist the devil as he comes around us, and that requires that the

exhortation Peter gave us just previously is true of us that we are being
