Good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I want to say a

personal thank you to those of you who are supporting the morning mindset

There is the option for that there in the description as well. We are in the book of first Peter this morning looking in chapter five and we've been considering the reality that we have an enemy.

We call him the devil, we call him Satan and he comes against us.

And my friends, he may be what you see portrayed in Hollywood horror movies in terms of his

supernatural ability and his power, but he is not to be feared like that because

we have a savior who has conquered him through the power of the

cross and he can only touch us he can only come into our lives when Jesus allows

him to do so.

And so there's not this sense of which we need to be afraid

that there's this horrible, horrid,

supernatural kind of evil that's coming against us in a way that's going to manifest itself in these nasty

things.

No, my friends, we can rest assured our Savior Jesus Christ has conquered him and will hold us secure. However, Peter says we are
