0:11.9	Lately, I've been hearing a lot from people who feel like they're doing all the things right, spiritually speaking.
0:19.3	They're reading their Bibles.
0:20.7	They're going to church. They're
0:21.7	even serving in their local body of believers. And yet, there's still a deep hunger inside for
0:28.0	something more, something real. Well, you're not alone if you find yourself in that camp.
0:35.3	That's actually where we find Nicodemus in today's story. Now,
0:39.0	if you don't remember, Nicodemus was a Pharisee. He was really well respected in that culture,
0:44.2	and he was a member of the Sanhedron. He came to Jesus at nighttime because there was a little bit
0:51.1	of shame around the fact that he wanted to seek out something more.
0:56.3	He came to Jesus out of curiosity.
0:59.5	You may have thought, because we know when we hear about the Pharisees and the Sanhedron,
1:04.2	that there is accusations because he's a religious leader.
1:07.1	But for him, there was something else going on in his heart.
1:12.9	And the interesting thing about that conversation was he didn't get what he was expecting from Jesus. He didn't get a
1:19.4	theological debate. Instead, he got this invitation. It's one of the most famous passages of
1:25.3	scripture, and we're going to unpack that in today's
1:27.6	episode.
