We're going to talk about foreknowledge tonight. God's foreknowledge. The question we're

going to ask is, what does God actually know? What does God know? And you might think,

well that's easy, he knows everything, but I think there's more

to it than that, and I think it's exciting to get to the more to it parts. And then we're going to answer

some questions that Skeptics sometimes ask, like, if God knows what I'm going to do, then

how is it possible that I actually have free will?

If God knows you're about to drink the coffee you're holding?

Do you really have a choice to not drink it?

That's a good question.

We're going to answer that. We're going to deal with something

called open-theism, which is something you've probably likely never heard of. A lot of people

haven't heard of, but it's the idea that God doesn't actually know the future, but

God only guesses at the future.

You know, he's like kind of working all things together for good, but he's sort of like

juggling everything that's going on to try to bring out some good reaction.

Now this is actually a growing more and more popular view in the world out there, this open theism view.

We're going to deal with that. And we're going to continue going through Romans verse by verse as we keep moving forward, but because

we hit the topic of foreknowledge predestination, and I thought, let's just pause and

let's unpack these ideas and then we'll keep going through Romans 8 into Romans 9 as we get to the end of those.

So first thing I want to do is just we'll read the passage we're in.
