The podcast episode for this week, I want to talk about trying to help some of you entrepreneurs really figure out hone in on what you want your business to stand for and what you want to look like.

And the reason that I'd like to talk about this today is because in recent trainings that I've had with people, I've been speaking to some entrepreneurs who are really no longer like enjoying their business.

Who are feeling super burned out and we have a whole podcast on burnout and things if you if you want to link for that, I'll try to find it for the show notes.

But basically they've ended up creating a business and the beginning they probably initially really enjoyed and that now they almost it's kind of sucking the life out of them just a little bit.

And and I understand what they're saying because I've gone through periods of this in my own business and one of the things that has really helped me is really trying to figure out and remember what I'm trying to build.

What are the things that are most important to me as you know the CEO as the visionary as the one this is my business you know like what what are the things that are super important to me that I need to make sure are built into this business.

How I want the business to feel how I want to feel running the business what do we want it to stand for etc.

Because I think that if we are leaving the you know perceived promise of security of a nine to five job or you know to attend or whatever nine to five just I'm saying working for somebody else.

And leaving that perceived security to become an entrepreneur and to run our own thing and to have our own thing going and it takes work right and it takes effort.

But we need to make sure that we've done it in a way that is really the way that we want it to be because leaving one thing or somebody else is the boss of you only to build something that also feels like the boss of you like that I don't know that that's freedom.

So I'm going to be talking about on this podcast episode real quick I want to let you know that every single week as you know I read a review from one of our listeners and this review is from Brooke may Miller who says I really enjoy all of the business advice I love that Jen ties got into each episode.

So one of the podcast is how we get really great guests that can really you know help hopefully give you some more fascinating content that will grow your business so so brook I do just play pray I think everyone's probably say that I play brook I pray a blessing over you over your business over your health over your family.

I pray that you would sense God's just absolutely delight over you and that every single thing that you would touch your hand to that God would annoy to for that that you would take your territory on the side of heaven what it may look like that you would do it to the glory of God in Jesus name amen okay so talking about what your business what you want to stand for what you want to look like I think it's really helpful.

As a business owner if we actually sit down and think about this now I use the example at the very beginning of people whose businesses almost like are kind of getting away from them there sometimes what happens is you start building a business and it starts getting momentum and suddenly you know you've kind of created this thing I don't want to call it a monster but where there's a lot of requirements of you none of which you really thought you were signing up for when you were leaving that nine to five to become an entrepreneur and now it just kind of feels heavy.

What I've also found is a lot of entrepreneurs they will they'll they'll start growing the business right and and they end up just kind of putting some things into the business or having some parameters in it or you know working when they don't want to be working or answering calls at all times the day or or doing pieces of the business that they never intended to do but they're literally just trying to fill some gaps as they're trying to get it off the ground and then sometimes what I see happening is people actually get it off the ground but they're still gap filling.

When and no longer like really doing the parts of the business that they want to be doing it are really wired to be doing so when Jason and I were spending some time with john and lace of a beer in.
