Oh wait, it's just gone 10 o'clock

I don't know how much attention you've been paying this week to my burblings.

But I've been in one of those moods where I've been in the mood to monologue.

Have you noticed this? I mean, poor old Keith, I think it shaves a year off

his life every time I crash through the 20 past 10 threshold. And this week I have been, I've been

hitting sort of 20 past 10 in the morning and thinking, I've barely drawn breath. I've got so much

to get off my chest this morning. I'm enjoying our time together so much at the moment that I find

myself almost overflowing with observations and insight.

So I may have said at some point in the last three days, do you know what? I think I could carry on.

I think I could push right through to one o'clock today without interruption, without taking a single call.

And then lo and behold, I'm on my way into work and I realize that the breakfast show is struggling from switchboard issues and that the, uh, um, the, that normally, uh, the normal avalanche

of contributors has been, has been stemmed by technology. And here we are with our fingers crossed,

hoping, hoping that things will improve. Because of course, if they don't,

then I will be pushing through until one o'clock.

As things stand, when I give you the phone number,

I think you will be able to get through.

But it is a curiously fragile morning, technologically speaking.
