| 1:05.0 | And the reason this is considered the root of suffering |
| 1:10.0 | is because we're essentially holding on to something that we can't actually hold on to. |
| 1:17.2 | All of these experiences, internal and external, are impermanent. |
| 1:22.8 | It doesn't always appear that way and a motion might appear like it lasts for a long time |
| 1:28.6 | or someone in our life may appear like they're here for a long time, |
| 1:32.8 | but if you look at everything on a micro level, |
| 1:36.4 | it's shifting and morphing moment by moment by moment. |
| 1:40.7 | There's no thought that comes up in the mind and just stays in the mind in that way |
| 1:46.9 | permanently. It's shifting. It's in the same way weather patterns are shifting. Same with an emotion, |
| 1:53.0 | it's ebbing and flowing, it intensifies, it relaxes, |
| 1:57.0 | pain, sensations in the body. |
| 2:00.0 | Our sense of self is always adjusting and adapting and evolving as we age, but even throughout the day. |
| 2:10.0 | We're taking in new information, integrating it, parts of us are dying, and new parts are being |

| 2:18.8 | And if we look around us, our worlds, our communities are constantly changing. |
