We're doing a collection of talks and a series of messages around this idea of letting go.

And the reason for that is Jesus teaches this in Matthew chapter 10, verse 39.

He says if you try to save or whoever finds his life, holds on to his life, tries to control his life,

you'll lose it.

It'll be like sand slipping through your hand.

The end of your days you won't find the satisfaction,

fulfillment, and meaning you're looking for.

But Jesus says, whoever let's go, lays down,

or loses his life because of me for my sake will find their life.

You'll actually find the contentment, the fulfillment, the meaning, the satisfaction you're

looking for. The message Bible says you'll find who you are and

ultimately and most importantly you'll find who God really is. We're learning together

and looking at different stories of how to live a life that you relinquish control of, that you let go up.

So in an effort to come up with a really catchy title to these messages. I've

titled this message, what does reading it for Batem? Let go of my life mean? Now that might not be clear so I'm going to say

it again. This title of this servant is what does let go of my life mean?

It's as simple as that we are together as a community saying, okay,

when Jesus says lose your life or lay down your life or let go of your life,

what does that actually mean?
