It all sounded so reasonable.

On Thursday, Community Secretary Michael Gove stood up to announce a new definition of extremism,

to decide who the government could and couldn't engage with.

The proposed definition will hold that extremism is the promotion or advancement of an ideology

based on violence, hatred or intolerance, that aims to negate or destroy the fundamental

rights and freedoms of others, or undermine overturn or replace the UK's city. or for others to achieve these results. Gove said it was about getting the balance right and it had been very precisely drafted,

so as not to apply to most mainstream political courts.
