Summary

Sam Panitch and Joey Lane are here to provide the male perspective on your burning dating questions and confusing scenarios. Sam and Joey share what they wish they could change about modern dating along with misconceptions women have about men when it comes to finding love. We answer listener questions about liking thirst traps on Instagram, why he likes your stories but doesn’t text you back, how long it takes for a guy to know if he wants something serious with you, if guys and girls can just be friends, and the best and worst questions asked on dates. Sam and Joey share whether or not they want a girl to text them thank you after a date, if it’s okay for a girl to text a guy first, and what it means if they take a long time to text you back. We discuss reconnecting with exes, how to tell if you’re being strung along, what to do if they don’t know what they’re looking for, and more.

I have to call out. And I don't know if anyone's ever told you this. But the second I heard your name for the first time, I'm like, wow, that kid has like a boy band, like celebrity heartthrob name.

1:03.5

Like, how are you not a Disney channel star with the name Joey Lane? It's so funny you say that. First, first of all, thanks. Thanks for having me. This is so I'm so excited. I've been telling Sam and you, but mostly Sam, all day, how I've been just looking forward to this moment right here.

But yeah, it's a good last name. Throughout my whole life, I've been Joey Lane. You know, I haven't been Joey. Not Joe. It's always been Joey Lane at work. I'm Joey Lane in life in basketball. I was always Joey Lane. My dream was always to be in a boy band. I joked about that all the time. So it's funny you say that. Sam knows me well enough to know that I could have been. It could have been. Wow. We got an eye roll from Sam over here. I mean, like, I don't know if you want to hear Joey sing. He's got the looks, but, uh, the vocals. I don't know. He's no Jonas brother. No, I'm completely joking. You never know. I'm completely joking. Well, Joey, give everybody a quick refresher or just share who you are and what you do.
