I've got a pet theory we're going to test out today. I theorize that mayors have to be

0:06.3

smarter and more results oriented than congressmen who are technically higher in the

0:11.7

packing order because you can get elected to Congress

0:16.2

and literally accomplish nothing for decades.

0:20.5

Just evocatively jibber and give floor speeches.

0:25.0

Do nothing, yet remain a beloved fixture,

and ride around in parades. Possibly they call upon

1:15.2

Batman. But that can't be right, can't it? Mayors can't just be the cartoon

1:20.1

version of what I thought mayors were in my childhood. So today I'm going to

1:25.0

interview a mayor of one of the United States top 20 largest cities about the

1:30.0

nature of his job and the problems major cities confront.
