Sean has been the executive director of the Irvine Museum of Art since its inception in January 1993,

I know that you come from a family that was and is heavily involved in the arts.

So it's maybe not a huge surprise

but I'm curious if you remember when you fell in love with California Impressionism was there a particular moment or maybe a particular painting that stands out?

Well actually I didn't I never wanted to be an art dealer. My father was an art dealer.

I have two brothers who are currently art dealers and their own galleries and none of us was in the art at the beginning. I was an art history

teacher. My brother George was a gallery in Hollywood was a lawyer and my brother

Louis was a wine and my brother Louis
