Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode. At the time I'm recording this,

0:07.6

this is the last day of January. And a practice that I have built into my personal life is asking

0:18.3

myself at the end of each month, what did that month teach me? What did January

0:26.2

teach me? And there are a lot of different ways that I can answer this question and hopefully

0:34.4

the same is true for you. But I just want to share a little bit of what I feel like January taught me and hopefully the same is true for you. But I just want to share a little bit of what I

0:39.1

feel like January taught me in hopes that it can be somewhat of a thinking prompt for you as well

0:45.8

to begin to think. And I'll tell you how I kind of realize that as well. So the lesson that January

0:52.7

taught me is that maybe my 30s are going to be a little bit slower than I would have thought they were going to be I'm turning 33 at the end of this week on February 4th.

1:08.3

And so far this year, I feel that I have been physically moving a lot slower intentionally

1:16.4

than I have in past New Year's. And in some ways, I feel like I'm slowing down more and more.

1:25.2

And there's a lot that I could probably unpack there, but the biggest thing that I'm

1:30.9

taking away from Matt is that it's something that I am recognizing, at least in this season,

1:39.1

at least in this part of my 30s, I'm recognizing that I need. I'm, I'm recognizing that I want to spend my 30s

1:49.7

in some ways recovering from my 20s. My 20s were very busy, very fast-paced, and it wasn't just because of ambition or anything. It was just trying to put

2:06.1

the pieces together of life and just trying to survive and not knowing what I had going on,

2:14.2

neurologically, not knowing about the neurodiversity, not knowing about all the things that

2:19.6

were keeping me from being able to pace myself and figure out what works for me and what doesn't.

2:26.2

So as a result of that, my 20s ended up being incredibly active, to say the least.

2:32.8

And so far, 30s have been interesting as well. I turned 30 years old

2:38.0

one month before the lockdown started in 2020. And I can see that ever since then, it's just been

2:46.3

a journey toward trying to create room to breathe and trying to pace myself. And if anything,

2:54.8

January just taught me how important that is. And that is not something, that is not a season
