Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode. Today I want to talk about

0:06.6

how do you take time for yourself when you're just so busy? Of course, in an ideal world,

0:15.3

at least for myself, I would be less busier than I am. And even when I do manage to shave off things or set aside time to say, I'm not going to do anything during this hour or two hours or whatever it is except rest or watch this show or whatever it is, inevitably many times the phone may ring or I just

0:41.7

randomly remember something I was supposed to do three days ago and I totally forgot that is a common

0:47.3

occurrence for me and there are many times in those moments where I end up feeling like, wow, I didn't even do this right.

0:56.2

I can't even rest right. I can't even take an hour. I can't even take a beat in the right way

1:02.2

because every time I sit down, I remember something I didn't do that really, really did have

1:07.6

to be done or, you know, I just forgot about something that was on the

1:12.5

schedule. And there's so many different reasons that our schedules might be busy or all over the

1:19.2

place. And this is something that maybe everyone won't agree with me on, but this is just the

1:26.5

stance that I take is that I don't think it's all

1:29.0

just because of a lack of organization or a lack of structure in one's lives. I think that

1:37.4

many of the things that might make our lives busy can be things that are beyond our control or just beyond our control in terms of like a day

1:47.2

to day sense. And there are systems and structures in place that make life hard for a lot of different

1:54.5

people in a lot of different situations. And of course, being autistic, I have firsthand knowledge of this and I'm realizing it more and more

2:05.6

as I look back over my life and I see times in my life where I was busy. And then other people would say to me,

2:13.0

oh, I know you're just so busy. And then I would shame myself and say, oh, you don't have time for people.

2:18.1

You're just so busy. You're so busy. And then now, years later, I look back on it and I say, you know what?

2:23.7

Some of those times where that was happening, it's not because I was just trying to fill my schedule, but it was

2:29.0

because the expectation that was set, the things that I had to do just to be able to survive were insurmountable.

2:37.3

And a lot of people are in that place. A lot of people are in a space where there's just so much

2:43.2

on their plate, not because they're trying to just achieve the impossible, but because they're
