0:43.5 | But even if you can't, I hope that it can serve as a prompt for you to think of your own cautionary tale, no matter how subtle it may be, that may have held you back in some way. |
0:49.7 | So one thing about a cautionary tale is that it's oftentimes just a story. It's just a story that's |
0:57.5 | being told to warn the listener of certain consequences of certain actions or behaviors. Stories that |
1:06.9 | remind us of potential dangers or stories that are designed to help us not make certain mistakes. |
1:16.8 | A cautionary tale could be a fable like the boy who cried wolf or the tortoise in the hair |
1:24.1 | or a story like Little Red Riding Hood, which are all stories that point to something |
1:30.8 | that happened that was bad and ended up being bad for the character. |
1:36.9 | And it could have been avoided if they had taken these precautions. |
1:42.8 | So in the story of the boy who cried wolf, |
1:46.5 | it's about false alarms and crying wolf when there was no danger. |

1:55.8 | and the wolf is able to cause harm. |
