Well the border of Turkey and Syria has been struck by another earthquake just two weeks

after the region was devastated by a larger quake that has killed more

than 47,000 people and destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes.

We're getting down to earth with plate tectonics.

The Earth is so massive, orders of magnitude larger than this, if you will will that it is pretty much impossible to

penetrate so how do we know so much about the inner workings of our planet what can the

earth teach us about itself perhaps the first place to start would be some surface level

knowledge. More specifically, how does the ground beneath our feet operate?
