So glad you're here. I want to welcome those of you online. We're so glad that you're joining with us as well.

Sunday mornings we're going through the Bible verse by verse. We're currently in 2nd Peter, actually almost done with 2nd Peter.

I'm going to kind of miss Peter a little bit, kind of gotten to know him and as of late, yeah.

Anyway, this is the last chapter. Our text today is going to be verses 11 through 14. So now that I've asked you to sit, I'm going to ask

I want to preface this real quick if you don't mind by just a way of a reminder that

these are the parting words of the Apostle Peter. This is his final letter that he writes. He knows

that his days are numbered and soon he is going to take his last breath in this life

and his first breath in eternal life. So the reason I preface it that way is because when you're on

your deathbed as it were, it gets real. You're not wasting time because you don't

have time to waste on frivolous things. You're going to get down to business. And

so that's what Peter's doing

here under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It's going to get a little bit intense,

but it needs to. So, you ready? All right, verse 11. Right out of the shoot, actually. Since

everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be?

You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.
