In difficult days and facing dire circumstances, it is always good to remind ourselves that God is greater than all.

There are times that we are called on to wait on God. There's no question about that.

But I'm convinced that there are many occasions where we say we're waiting on God to do something,

that God is actually waiting on us, waiting on us to get to the place of real faith,

waiting on us to get to the place of real submission, waiting on us to pray,

waiting on us to depend on him to do what he wants to do. We say we believe Christ is enough.

Well, if that's true, what are you waiting for? We've come today to one of the miracles of Jesus

that is only recorded in one place,

and that is John Chapter 5. It is the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda. Beautiful picture

here as Jesus approaches the pool, the living water coming to this pool, Christ coming to this

place where there were so many hurting people.

And the Bible says in John 5, verse 1, after this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Now, there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market, a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue, Bethesda, having five porches.

Now, the name Bethesda means House of Mercy.

Oh, I love this.

The Christ, who is himself the mercy of God revealed, is coming to the House of Mercy.
