0:00.0	Hey friends, I'm Rachel Grohl and I'm your host for the Hearing Jesus podcast, where I help you to know God and to make him known.
0:11.6	What comes to mind when I say the words, bone, tired. Maybe you've had days where you feel that.
0:19.6	You've been running around, maybe taking your kids back and forth or staying up all night to pull an all nighter to do some work.
0:27.3	A lot of times, especially if we're a mom or a parent in general, we're doing all the things for everyone else.
0:34.6	And it's really easy to be running any. And that kind of exhaustion isn't always
0:40.6	just physical. Sometimes it's our spirit that's thirsty. Our soul is deeply in need of refreshment.
0:49.4	And maybe we don't even realize it until we hit that moment where nothing is satisfying that deep ache in our heart.
0:56.7	Well, that's where we find the woman in today's story, and she wasn't just thirsty for water.
1:02.5	She was thirsty for belonging and for peace and for feeling seen.
1:07.7	And in a moment that could have gone unnoticed, Jesus shows up right in the middle of our
1:13.7	ordinary, very weary day. So in this episode, we're starting part one of a three-part episode
1:21.3	through John chapter four. This story is not just a story about a woman at the well.
1:28.8	It's a story about the God who meets us right where we are in the middle of our mess.
1:34.9	And he offers us living water that truly satisfies.
1:38.8	We're going to walk through this together and see what it really means to be seen and known by Jesus.
1:46.6	Now, I just want to preface this before I start reading that we actually spent a little bit more time on this story over this summer
1:53.7	as part of the She hears Bible study. So if you want to dive even deeper than what we're doing
