What's up everyone? Welcome back to the epic gardening podcast. That is my radio voice or at least my attempt at it.

When I was in 11th grade my Spanish teacher told me eventually I'd be on the radio and that never

came true but I am coming at you on the podcast. All right so today we're talking about

something that I've for some reason only recently heard about. I don't know why

this is so foreign to me but I figured I would talk about it on the podcast because I find it

so interesting and it is insect houses. So I've been dealing with cabbage moths, cabbage loopers, aphids, etc.

All terrible insects to have in your garden and a lot of the solutions for those bugs

ends up being beneficial insects.

But then the question becomes, okay, well,

if you're gonna get some ladybugs

or you're gonna get some lace wings or whatever it might be,

what happens when you put them in your garden?

Don't they just fly away?

Well, the answer is most of the time, actually yes,

they do just fly away.

So how do you make sure that they stay in and or around your garden so that you can actually get the benefits of these beneficial

bucks.

So that is the question and that is the answer actually.

Insect houses are the way that you can do that.

Number one, ladybugs, these are really, really effective in the garden,

especially for aphids, but they often just fly away.

So how do we prevent that?
