Today we were talking about Cobb LEDs.

Cobb is an acronym.

It's COB and it stands for Chip on board,

LEDs.

Why would we use these for hydroponic gardening?

Well, there are a lot of reasons why.

First of all, as you know, or if you don't know now you will

COB LEDs and LEDs in general have been rapidly increasing in their popularity

for hydroponic gardeners and there's a lot of reasons for that.

At the start of the LED revolution if you want to call it that in hydroponics, there were a lot of

manufacturers that were making outlandish claims about the efficiency and effectiveness of LED lights.

These days, those claims can actually be backed up by empirical evidence.

In the past, they were just trying to ship a bunch of products. in the there have been a lot of updates to LEDs that make them a pretty good choice if you're

growing hydroponically, at least for some plants.

So today's episode will focus on chip on board LEDs, what are they, and I'm not going to get into the details in a really deep way because that would bore you unless you really want to dig into it and it's hard to
